Goodness
A high-protein savoury trail mix (~30 g protein/100 g). Hemp hearts provide complete protein plus an ideal omega-6:omega-3 balance, pumpkin and sunflower seeds give magnesium, zinc and vitamin E, and nutritional yeast adds a cheesy umami flavour plus B-vitamins (and B12 if fortified). It is a crunchy, vegan, gluten-free and low-sugar snack.

Who should avoid
• Peanut allergy: contains peanuts. Even traces can trigger anaphylaxis.
• Celiac disease, until the spice blend is confirmed gluten-free (hing/asafoetida is commonly compounded with wheat flour).
• Yeast allergy or sensitivity: contains nutritional yeast.
• Children under 5 years: whole/large nut pieces are a choking hazard (serve crushed or avoid).
• Advanced chronic kidney disease (stage 4-5) / dialysis on potassium-phosphorus restriction: ~314 mg potassium and ~285 mg phosphorus per serve. Only with renal dietitian approval.
• Crohn's disease with intestinal strictures, or after recent bowel surgery: whole nuts/seeds can cause blockage.
• Athletes under anti-doping testing, unless the hemp batch is certified THC-compliant.
Consume less / with caution
• People on ACE-inhibitors, ARBs (BP medicines like telmisartan, ramipril) or potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone): potassium-rich, so avoid stacking several high-potassium foods daily.
• Weight-loss / calorie-controlled diets: energy-dense (523 kcal/100 g; ~157 kcal per serve). Portion to one serve.
• High LDL cholesterol / heart disease: saturated fat 5.0 g/100 g.
• Gallbladder disease, chronic pancreatitis or fat-malabsorption: high-fat food (>30 g/100 g); small portions only.
• Gout / high uric acid: nutritional yeast (high purine) can raise uric acid; moderate portions.
• Kidney disease on protein restriction: high-protein product; count it in the daily protein allowance.
