Goodness
A lighter, greener morning shot. Moringa leaf is one of the most nutrient-dense leafy greens, bringing plant calcium, iron, beta-carotene (vitamin A) and polyphenols. Ginger, turmeric and pepper aid digestion and add anti-inflammatory compounds. Amla and lemon supply vitamin C, which helps the body absorb moringa's plant iron. Low calorie and fat-free, and gentler than the Sun Glitter shot because it is diluted with water.

Who should avoid
• Strict Jain diet: contains root vegetables (fresh ginger and fresh turmeric). A Jain version can use dry ginger/turmeric powder (sonth/haldi).
• Infants under 12 months: salted product; infant kidneys cannot handle added salt.
• Children under 12: concentrated ginger/turmeric/pepper shot is too strong and can irritate the stomach.
• Pregnant women, the elderly and immunocompromised people: avoid if the juice is RAW/unpasteurised (risk of E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria). Safe once pasteurised/HPP-treated.

Consume less / with caution
• High blood pressure / sodium-restricted diets: moderate sodium (389 mg/100 ml; ~117 mg per serve).
• Diabetics on insulin or sulfonylureas (glimepiride, gliclazide): amla/turmeric/moringa can lower blood sugar further, so watch for hypoglycaemia.
• Acid reflux (GERD), gastritis, piles/fissures: contains ginger, black pepper and lemon/acid, which can aggravate symptoms.
• Pregnancy: limit to one serve a day (ginger above ~1 g dry-equivalent daily is not advised).
• Pregnancy & breastfeeding: moringa leaf in food amounts is generally fine; avoid doubling up with moringa supplements.
• On warfarin: moringa leaf is rich in vitamin K, so keep intake consistent day to day.
• On blood thinners (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel) or within 2 weeks of surgery: turmeric and ginger have mild anti-platelet effects; keep to one serve.
• Iron-overload conditions (haemochromatosis, thalassaemia major with transfusions): high vitamin C raises iron absorption; avoid taking with meals.
